Finally, there's someone in politics using common sense. Although Bill Lockyer is only a State Treasurer (of California), his testimony before the Senate and Assembly on improving State Government is a blue-print that could also help this country out of debt. Hard to find a politician (Republican or Democrat) who has the stones to call his own party folks out..... and Lockyer does it here. Lockyer, a Democrat himself, says he is tired of "all the junk legislation and out of control spending coming from fellow Democrats and issues a stern warning about looming bankruptcy.

Some Powerful stuff eh? Compare his level-headedness to the bailout-loving people we have/had at the federal level, Hank Paulson and Tim Geithner.
